Who we are

We’re The Accidental Song Writers a multi genre song writing collective led by a father & daughter team with a shared love of storytelling through song.

With over 500 unreleased tracks spanning soul, pop, indie, musical theatre, and sync ready styles, our catalogue is as diverse as the artists and creatives we work with.

We write with artists, A&Rs, filmmakers, choreographers, brands and theatre makers in mind. Some of our songs are complete and waiting to be placed. Other are seeds, ready to grow into something new - with your voice, your story, your stage.

Whether you’re pitching for a record, scoring a scene, or building a show, we can help you find or create the music that fits like it was written for you. Because maybe… it was.

Meet The Team

  • The Accidental Song Writer.

    Song writer, Composer

Favourite part of song writing process?

All of it really. But hearing the completed version of one of my babies aka songs has got to be the best feeling. Watching something first conceived in my brain come to life is priceless.

Go to song writing fuel? Coffees & Cigarettes, but beware anything he sees or hears can set him off and you’ll have a full blown song composed and written within the hour.

If you could have written one song by another artist, what would it be? Any by Diane Warren.

  • Genre bender & blender, vocalist and ½ of The Accidental Song Writers.

Favourite Lyric? I have so many, but currently “An Honest Whisper beats a Liars Shout” from Our Song Happy Loving My Man.

Favourite part of song writing process? I love the initial conception of a song, whether that be a small poem, a one liner that inspires the rest or a beat that’s screaming for a certain top line. I find mixing or changing the feel of a song the most fulfilling, hearing a song once imagined in a certain way played out in a completely different genre; all whilst attaining the exact same lyrics and subject matter always highlights how great it is to work with other creative minds.

Go to song writing fuel? Fresh mint tea & honey, with a sprinkle of attitude.

If you could have written one song by another artist, what would it be? Vienna Billy Joel, Needle in a haystack The Velvettes or Somebody that i used to know Gotye
